Pandawa Strike Force Pint over Warframe

I had beer with my friends as a space ninja, battling a horde of cloned armies in a spaceship. And that is how I best describe my experience of playing Warframe in my PC.

I used to rarely play online games, not because I could not play them, but because I did not have a strong enough equipment and/or internet connection to play them smoothly. It always bugged my mind that if I play like that, I would be an inconvenience to other players. After some saving and a ton of assistance from a great friend, I now have competent equipment to play some more awesome games.

Some of you probably know by now that I study abroad. This makes it somewhat difficult to have a lot of very close friends. I am not really good at keeping in touch through Facebook messages, or emails, or Whatsapp groups. I tend to join in only during times where there is an interesting topic of discussion. But there are these 3 friends that somehow clicked with me and it literally began from a mobile game. Let`s call them Cedric, Calvin and Carrel. We played several games, starting from Tom Clancy`s The Division, Tom Clancy`s Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Warframe.. Basically games that have a co-op element and sometimes and competitive element. Then we just kinda clicked and popped up the term Pandawa Strike Force (which is weird because there are 5 Pandawas, but only 4 of us. Oh well, sounded cool enough).

Some weeks ago 3 of us got online and was playing Warframe. While waiting for Cedric to update his game, we just chat about stuff. Then we apparently had the same idea of opening a pint of drink from our respective places (which included Japan, Germany and Indonesia) and had a lot of great laughs. When Cedric`s game was finally ready, we played a wide variety of activity. During which we basically caught up with each other`s life, joke on each other and had an especially good time. It was fun, simple, and really did felt like the next best alternative of going to a pub and having a drink with your mates.

It`s amazing how the world have gone so far. Games are now an avenue for me to catch up with some of my friends around the globe. It`s way more than just the game.. Used correctly, it can be a very effective communication tool.. Heh, cool.
